As the awareness about skincare is increasing there is a growth in different types of body lotions.For all types of skin,body lotions are available in the market but as all that shine is not gold similarily all body lotions are not suitable for all skin.Apart from what they claim,it depends on our experience how good they are & how they effect our skin.

I keep posting reviews on different skincare products and ofcourse in this series body lotions are also there.

Today, this article is on review about NIVEA body lotion smooth milk long lasting smoothness with shea butter.

So,let's get started....

  What the brand claims ?????

Nivea body lotion smooth milk for long lasting smoothness is deep moisturising & gives long lasting feel.It has goodness of shea butter.Use it for irresistibly smooth skin.The new non-greasy softening formula now with double amount of precious Shea butter,repairs the skin dryness to give deep moisturisation & long lasting smoothness.Apply regularly to experience smoother & softer skin for days.
Also ,like other body lotions from Nivea, there is a Nivea quality promise from there side which states that it is dermatologically approved & is free from colorants,ethyl alcohol and animal derived ingredients.Ingredients are selected strictly on quality standards.

Ingredients  :- 

Aqua, Glycerin, C15-19Alkane, Sodium Carbomer, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben,  Ethylparaben, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Parfum etc.

                         ⚘My Experience :-

I bought 200ml bottle for Rs.225.00
It is also available in small size.
It's been 3-4 years while using NIVEA body lotions.I have also tried other brands and company body lotions and products that I will share further in coming posts.

Appearance & Packaging -

It comes in a blue plastic bottle.It is easy to handle and hygienic.But looks not so attractive.Contents etc.are written in dark blue on it.Comes in different sizes.

It is a white coloured creamy lotion which is smooth and mild.Fragrance is good.

Pros. :- 😊

1). Packaging is hygienic and easy to handle.
2). Soft and mild with nice fragrance.
3). Contains Shea butter.
4). Free from colorants and animal derived ingredients.
5). Can be used for dry skin.

Cons. :- 😢

1). I found it less absorbing.You have to massage a lot then only it gets absorbed.It is my experience.

2). As it is not easily absorbing,it cannot penetrate deep into the skin.
3). Due to above factors,it is less moisturising and less effective then.
4). Not so good for dry skin as claimed.
5). No visible improvement in the skin.
6). Contains Paraben and alcohol.So,if you have a concern about it,you have to think before using it.However,effect of Paraben is still a topic of research.To know how alcohol effects skin, plz visit here

Rating :- 2.5/5  ★★½

Conclusion :- 

I didn't find it as good as claimed but it also depends on skin types.If you want,you can give it a try.Always do allergy test or patch test before using any product.Use product knowing your skin type.
However, my experience was not so good for this product.

*). Always do skin test before using any skincare product.
*). You can apply a little bit amount on elbow to find whether it is OK for you to use it.It is highly recommended for skin which is allergic and sensitive.
*). Know your skin type.You can do tissue paper test for it or allergy & patch test. (I will explain it in detail in my next posts however,it is not so unknown today)
*). Always wash your face and fingers before applying
*).Always read ingredients before use
*). Always read shelf life.
