We all know that ! No matter what skin color you posses..you are beautiful in your own way.Beauty never means fair color. As I have told you already, I am not a racist.
But, in today's modern era, people still want fair color and there is an image between people that fair color is an add on to your beauty.We can't change everyone but this is a mindset which I never support.However, it is good to make an effort to have a beauty care regime and skincare regime.When pollution is increasing day by day, stress & hectic life schedules along with dirt and dust makes our skin look dull loosing it's original color.Every girl has a dream of having problem-free soft and supple skin which makes her appear gorgeous.Every girl wants brighter skin.
To avail this, we try different products and companies are also well aware of the fact that what their customers want.There are many natural ways and easy home remedies which are good in whitening effect but we will discuss it later in our upcoming posts.

Today, I am here to review about a product which also claims of making our skin look brighter and fairer.
I am going to talk about GARNIER Skin Naturals White Complete speed white with SPF 19 PA+++ .
Garnier is a brand of L'Oréal India Pvt.Limited. L'Oréal is a big name in the field of cosmetics and skin & haircare products.
So, let's get started...
What Does The Brand Claims ???
It contains Speed White serum & pure lemon extract.

MY EXPERIENCE
I was noticing my skin was appearing dull from some time.I was having acne and pimples and my skin was not clear.It was bad experience for me.So, to get rid of this, I was searching a multi action product containing salicylic acid.Experts recommend salicylic acid containing product to treat acne and pimple.
I came to know about GARNIER White Complete Multi action Fairness Cream and decided to give it a try.
Now, when I first purchased it, I got it with an offer in which GARNIER White Complete Facewash worth Rs.25 (15g) was free with Rs.85 (18g).It was a promotional pack. I will give review on this facewash in my upcoming posts.
I am providing photographs of it here in this post of mine.However, now this is my 3rd pack of GARNIER Skin Naturals multi action fairness cream which I am using.
Price when I purchased it for the first time - Rs. 85 for 18g.
As I told you above, on my first purchase, I got 15g of Garnier White Complete fairness facewash free with it worth Rs.25.
Appearance & Packaging
It is a white plastic pack with details written on it.Nice and sober packing easy to handle.There is also a Garnier fairness scale to measure and see the improvement in skin color on the outer cardboard cover inside which the plastic container is there.The only thing which is little bit annoying is that you have to use your finger to take out cream.So, your hands should be clean on every use before you take out cream to apply.It means you cannot say it is completely hygienic. Cream is white in color.

Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Octocrylene, Palmitic Acid, Silica, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Fragrance, Myristic Acid, Cetearyl Glucoside, Lemon Fruit Extract, Hexyl Cinnamal etc.Pros. 😊 👍
2). Very good fragrance which is mild.It smells of lemon extract.
3). Contains salicylic acid recommended for treatment of acne and pimples.
4). Contains pure lemon extract which is natural bleach and it gives whitening effect.It also fades away spots and lightens the scars.
5). Lemon contains vitamin c which is good for skin.
6). When you apply it on your skin, it starts showing effect as claimed.Brand says it provides instant whitening with speed white formula.
7). It smoothens the skin.
8). Skin looks lighter and fairer with regular use.
9). It is moisturising.
10). Skin feels fresh.
11). You will notice a glow on your face on further use.
12). Fades spots and darkness.
13). Good for pimple and acne prone skin.
14). Suitable for all skin types.
15). You will notice improved texture of your skin.
16). Contains SPF 19 PA+++ hence, it gives UV protection from sun.
17). Contains Silica which is good for skin & hair.
18). You have to massage it in right way so that it gets absorbed by the skin.I am giving it in pros.as it is already claimed and recommended by the brand that you have to apply it by massaging gently.
Cons. 😕 👎
1). Package is not so hygienic.You have to use your fingers to take out cream to apply.
2). Contains alcohol.However, this is point of research as by some certain alcohols including alcohols in this product are termed as good alcohols beneficial for skin.Denatured alcohols are harmful in long run as claimed by some researches.
3). Little bit costly.

I have given 5 stars but I have not given due to only less hygienic packaging,little bit high price and alcohol present in it which is a point of research.
However, the product is good and really effective.
Edited : I really liked this cream as it has helped me getting rid of acne problems and acne pimple marks.It has improved my skin texture.So, below is the revised rating from my side.I will give it 5 stars now.

Conclusion
If you don't bother about alcohol and packaging, then it is a very good cream to use.I personally liked it ! It is little bit costly but quality of product is good.

Bad vs. Good Alcohol in Cosmetic Formulas -
When we feel concerned about the presence of alcohol in skincare or makeup products, we’re referring to a drying type of alcohol that you’ll most often see listed on an ingredient label as SD alcohol, denatured alcohol, or, less often, isopropyl alcohol. Denatured alcohols are the alcohols which can damage your skin in long run.They makes your skin dry with time.You can see on this in my previous posts.
These types of volatile alcohols give products a quick-drying finish, immediately degrease skin, and feel weightless on skin, so it’s easy to see their appeal, especially for those with oily skin.

When you see these names of alcohol among the first six ingredients on an ingredient label, without question they will aggravate and be cruel to skin. No way around that, it’s simply bad for all skin types. Consequences include dryness, erosion of the surface of skin (that’s really bad for skin), and a strain on how skin replenishes, renews, and rejuvenates itself. Alcohol just weakens everything about skin.
Just to be 100% clear, there are other types of alcohols, known as fatty alcohols, which are absolutely non-irritating and can be exceptionally beneficial for skin. Examples you’ll see on ingredient labels include cetyl, stearyl, and cetearyl alcohol. All of these are good ingredients for dry skin, and in small amounts fine for any skin type as they give a pleasing texture and help keep ingredients stable in products. It’s important to discern these skin-friendly forms of alcohol from the problematic types of alcohol.
Likewise, you may have heard that alcohol is a good ingredient because it helps other ingredients like retinol and vitamin C absorb into skin more effectively. Although it’s true that it does enhance absorption of ingredients, the alcohol also destroys skin’s surface and the very substances that keep your skin healthy over the long term. There are certainly other, gentler ways to get good ingredients into skin, without damaging its outer layer, an issue that causes more problems than benefits.
How Alcohol Damages Skin and Makes Breakouts Worse -
If your skin is oily, it can be tempting to use alcohol-based products because they provide an immediate matte finish, essentially de-greasing the "oil slick." The irony of using alcohol-based products to control oily skin is that the damage from alcohol can lead to an increase in bumps and enlarged pores.
Alcohol can actually increase oiliness, so the immediate de-greasing effect is eventually counteracted, prompting your oily skin to look even more shiny.
Final Thoughts -
The research is clear: Alcohol harms your skin’s protective surface, depletes vital substances needed for healthy skin, and makes oily skin worse. To put it simply, it’s pro-aging. Given the hundreds of skin-friendly alternatives that are available, it’s a no-brainer to abstain from products front-loaded with the skin damaging forms of alcohol.
